The clock is ticking
Tick tack tick tack
The pills are in my hands
tick tack tick tack
A glass of jack is next to me
Tick tack tick tack
The clock is ticking
Inside me
They say they're always here
But then why am I so lonely?
They say they'll always care
But why do they have so few emotions?
The clock is ticking
Tick tack tick tack
I slowly lift my hands
tick tack tick tack
I swallow them slowly
Tick tack tick tack
I drink the jack
And the clock stops ticking
A life is like a clock
One day it stops ticking
From the day we are born
We are slowly dying
But at times
When the clock is tired
And wants to stop
It finds a reason to tick
Tick tack tick tack
Don't stop the ticking of a heart
That's one of the most interesting things i've ever heard. From the day we are born we are slowly dying. My mom said somthing like that a couple days ago. And its quite true. Realy interesting though. Amazing poem! <3
In either case, that song was about a child, whose heart stopped beating...because it wanted to be alone. However the child was only seemingly dead, and woke up AFTER it was buried...thankfully they gave the child it's favorite toy...the music box with it to the grave...the child wound it up and about a day later, the people of the graveyard heard the music and got the freezing and scared child out of it's early grave.
As to why I relate it to this poem: Even if the clock of life seems to stop...that doesn't necessarily mean, that it's lost for good.
There are plenty of cases, where the clock requires a shock of some sort...be it cold, electricity or 'divine intervention'...to start ticking again.
Personally, I'm not a huge Rammstein fan, but a few of their songs are really nice. Especially 'Spieluhr' and 'Engel'
