I don't want to grow up
It was so much more fun
When I didn't understand
What happened around me, how it fell

I don't want to get old
Be wise and all that
For after years of living
I would know that life, isn't intact

I don't want to get a place of my own
Responsibility isn't my thing
I wouldn't be able to watch my offspring
knowing what they would face, a dying world
And a hope, left for dead

I want to stay young
I want to be unknowing
For in the end
Being stupid, will make it easier
To accept the end

Innocence...err, ignorance is bliss, huh?

Peter Pan had the right idea after all...he never wanted to grow up, because the world of the grown ups was nothing but cruelty, treachery and sadness.

However, if you ask me...it's easier to accept the end of things, once you have suffered by the hands of the world.
For then the end won't mean the end of play, games and fun...but the end of suffering and pain.

So you see, even in sadness, hurt and agony, something good rests.

With out pain there is no joy, without a start there can be no end, We can't be grown ups before we have accepted our inner child :) And most of the children I know do not see the end as an end, but a new start for oppertunity, they embrace the end easier than the adults here ;)

That's the other side, really.

For children, every end is a new beginning.
The people in the past centuries knew what they were doing by accepting death as it is...inevitable. But not evil or gruesome...but as the stepping stone to a new and maybe better world.

I wonder what happened to that mindset...?

Oh, we will...once our end comes that is. But it has to be quite a beautiful place, seeing how nobody ever came back to tell the others about it.

Bunch of selfish bastards, huh? :P
